We have all heard the question from students, “What does this have to do with me?”. Engaging students in the learning process is never easy. Students rarely see the relevance of instruction and how it relates to their current situation. Engagement and relevancy are two hurdles teachers constantly fight to overcome. The Classroom Based Assessment (CBA) is an opportunity to engage students through personalized learning. In this session, participants will play an active role as we delve into increasing student engagement through relevant student-centered questions, activities, and the CBA.
